Wilderness First Aid
Most Adventurous Activities that take place and require a Permit holder either: Personal, Leadership or Supervise, then;
The Permit holder must have a current 1st Aid Qualification or;
A responsible member of the activity group must have a current 1st Aid Qualification.
The 1st Aid Qualification must in all cases be valid on the day that the activity takes place on, and should be First Response as a minimum level.
Land based activities that require a Permit holder and a First Response certificate:
Abseiling, Canyoning, Caving, Climbing, Coasteering, Gorge Walking, Hill Walking, Ice Climbing, Mountain Biking, Skiing, Snow Boarding.
The following land based activities require a higher level 1st Aid qualification than the First Response certificate;
Activities in terrain two - Abseiling, Climbing single pitch, Hill Walking, Ice Climbing, Mountain Biking, Skiing off piste, Snow Boarding off piste. Activities in any terrain - Climbing multi pitch and Scrambling.
All Water Activities that require a Permit holder to lead require a person with a First Response certificate to be actively participating in the delivery of the activity.
