Power Kite Volunteers Wanted

July 14, 2015

The Kent Scouts Power Kite Team is in the business of installing large muddy grins on faces!

Since we first put Scout to Kite back in 2010, we've taught over 3000 young people how to tame the elements.  We've shown them how to capture the power of the wind in our large kites to propel themselves across fields all over Kent.  We've run everything from two-hour taster sessions to dedicated weekends of tuition; we're regulars at Gilwell 24 and we've provided drop-in fun at multiple international jamborees.

The Team is super informal - we're a friendly bunch who like messing about with wind.  And we're looking for new faces!  In addition to instructing youngsters, we offer cake, more cake, team flying days, cake, weekends away blasting down beaches on kite buggies, and even more cake.

Fancy flying a really big kite?  Fancy getting that warm fuzzy feeling of helping a young person fly a really big kite, and helping us deliver the activity to more people than ever before?

If so - please drop an email to Andre Woods. It'd be great to hear from you.  No previous experience necessary, we'll happily teach you how to fly and how to maintain our fantastic safety record through delivering superb instruction.  But if you’re already a kite expert, that’d be even better!"
