Kent Scouts Climbing Active Support Unit have organised training weekends for adults, mature Explorers and Young Leaders. These training weekends are the first step to gaining a Walls & Towers climbing permit with the Scout Association.
The adventurous activities permit scheme allows not only adults, but young people to gain leadership and supervisory climbing permits, enabling them to instruct climbing to Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers across the UK. Note that although a person of any age can apply for a permit, maturity is a requirement for the instruction of climbing and would be a deciding factor on assessment.
